Southern Hoists is very much a family. When one does well, we are all so happy for them, and that is exactly how the company felt when our very own installer Hayden Chappell won a Stars of the Future award from the Construction Plant Hire Association ceremony.

Hayden was announced as the ‘Plant Installer of the Year 2024’ in front of a room full of industry giants eager to get a glimpse of what the future will look like in the plant hire industry.

Upon winning his much deserved accolade, Hayden commented: “I feel so happy to have won. I feel grateful, proud and I just can’t wait for the future”

Kirsty Archbold-Laming, Director of Southern Hoists said in a Linkedin post: “This has to be one of my proudest “work mum” moments. We may not be family by blood but we are a family and support each other at all times….yesterday we were BURSTING with pride. Hayden has quickly progressed and had just completed his NVQ Level 2. He is the first hoist installer to be nominated and the first hoist installer to win!”
