SHS Director Kirsty Archbold-Laming was asked by Plant Planet magazine to talk about Women in Construction in their latest magazine.

The feature is an interesting read for men and women who work in construction in a variety of roles. Kirsty was able to give her 30+ years experience of working within the industry including how the landscape has changed for females within the industry, which was once thought of as a “Man’s World”.

Kirsty said “I’m glad it’s much easier for women to get into construction. We need them. We also need more colleges and schools to understand a career within construction is an excellent career path that should be open to all students, regardless of gender.
