Southern Hoist Services were represented at the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) Summit and IAPAS in Dublin last week. We visited KDM HIRE where we discussed lots of business opportunities and it was great to meet people who have the same ethos as us and it was such a warm welcome to the Emerald Isle!

Next on the agenda was the joint meeting of UK & Ireland work group and International committee for MCWP & Hoists. A meeting of minds across the globe, discussing the next steps to continue improving our industry worldwide.

The event saw 16 speakers present various topics to 515 attendees from 28 countries!! The biggest Summit yet. We shared our stories of becoming the first MCWP/Hoist companies in the UK & Ireland to achieve IPAF Rental + and also had the opportunity to share all the hard work between IPAF and CPA – Construction Plant-hire Association CHIG group which has resulted in a number of courses for the industry.

We were honoured that SHS Director Kirsty Archbold-Laming was asked to be a judge and presented an award to GEDA GmbH –
